Abstract

In this case, students are introduced to Aboriginal entrepreneur, Hanwakan Whitecloud. Hanwakan was researching the types of funding available for Aboriginal businesses when he realized that the ownership of his new business venture with a non-Aboriginal associate might impact the amount of government grant and loan funding available for starting the business. Hanwakan had to make a fundamental choice about the ownership of the business.
