Financing the Membertou Professional Centre

Abstract

In this case, students are introduced to Mike McIntyre, Chief Financial Officer of Membertou First Nation, as he is faced with the complex challenge of raising financing for a capital project. Following the success of the Membertou Business Centre, which provided commercial space for rent on the reserve, the band decided to erect a second building called the Membertou Professional Centre.
