The purpose of this autoethnographic research was to provide an analysis of my experience as both a victim and survivor of sexual assault and rape in an area of research that is in the beginning stages of development. By providing a critical analysis of the process I was able to take my journey of sharing my story online through video posts and reflexive journal entries. I hope to contribute to future research providing a better an understanding of the emotions, and the mental health effects a survivor endures when they are empowered to share their story.
